The occult religious practice of Shintoism incorporates man’s union with animals and nature. This practice and other pagan rituals are at the root of all eastern mystic religions. Hinduism and Zen Buddhism are not discussed anywhere in Carr’s book. Nowhere in the book is there any mention of the dangerous occult origin or yoga’s primary objective for man to be in union with their gods.

Yet, in one chapter of her book entitled, “How to Play the Game of Relaxation,” Carr blatantly teaches occult visualization techniques of deep breathing and mind control in order to put the children into a trance-like state of sleep (pg. 86).
